Heated Oak Bat Box
This is our top of the range heated bat box. 60 x 50 x 20 cm . Featuring an internal heated baffle at 33 C. There is an insulated division within the box to create temperature gradients.
Especially designed for mitigation (roost replacement) where the original roost was affected by a heat source such as behind boilers or heating pipes. Simply plug into a domestic supply, and it will cost about £14 per year to run.
The exterior is pure English oak, with a drop down hatch below for inspection (and to let droppings out).

Features of the Heated Bat Box
- Dimensions: 500 mm x 600 mm x 200 mm
- 3 bat boards with 40mm gaps between
- Access in front of box (30mm wide slot, 150mm long)
- Fixes to wall by bolting onto a back plate (metal?) which can be drilled into masonry or screwed to timber
- Detachable front panel for monitoring
- Simple hidden low energy electric heating
- Hidden wiring cable exits to rear for drilling through wall (or to come round side for wiring on front of wall)
- Range of thermal zones within the box provided by insulated divisions
- Due to cost considerations, we have not installed a year-round timer to the device. We have opted to send automated emails to clients advising them when to turn it on. Alternatively, as the box costs only £15 per year to run, it can simply be left on. If you specifically require a year-round timer, please let us know and we can install it into the existing internal waterproof connection box. The extra cost is £180.
